Cafe
The cafe provides a small amount of food periodically to new players to reduce the time pressure within the area before the hunger meter depletes. Both the cafe and its backroom provide new players everything needed to acquire one of the following: Cup of Coffee, Bread, and Apple Doughnut.
In the back room, there are three machines labeled 1, 2, 3 that grant Wheat, Flour, and fuel to the player. They are used in the following way:
- Press the button to harvest Wheat (4) then wait until Wheat (4) travels through the tube into the Golden Chest.
- Place Wheat (4) nto the wooden chest, then wait for the machine to release Flour into the Silver Chest.
- Press the button to activate a Chainsaw to fell the lemon tree then collect wood and leaves from the Golden Chest.
Following these steps, the player can bake their first loaf of bread in the ovens at the cafe by using either Tree Trunk, Wooden Plants, or leaves as a fuel. More effectively, players can also craft Oil Extract from six leaves to fuel the oven. Any surplus from the process can be used to exchange for additional items at the Smartshops.

Light Levels and Underground Farming
In the red hall, the first room on the right demonstrates an underground farm. There is also a glass door to a pictographic explanation of light levels and the amount of light plants need in order to grow.
in-game, light intensity is represented with a number from 0 (complete darkness) to 16 (direct sunlight). Artificial sources of light can be used to raise crops underground. Typically, crops from farming: require a light level of 13 in order to grow while rhubarb and wheat can tolerate light levels of 12. At a light level of 14, a Dirt node can be converted into a Dirt With Grass node.
